The frontend is
never just the
last step.
55onze is an independent software studio working where engineering meets design. We build our own products around frontend engineering, UX/UI, and Design Systems.
Where systems
become real.
Frontend sits between product, design, and engineering. Treating it as the last layer leaves interfaces fragmented and systems difficult to maintain.
We work deeply in that intersection. Design engineering and developer experience help us connect architecture, interface decisions, and the tools people use to build.
The work
has a point of view.
Engineering with intention.
Good interfaces need sound architecture. We make technical decisions with the people using and maintaining the product in mind.
Design and engineering together.
A design system is more than a library of components. It is a shared way to make decisions across design and code.
Clarity over noise.
We value useful tools, direct language, and interfaces that make complex work easier to understand.
Share what we learn.
Building products creates knowledge. Writing about the choices and tradeoffs makes that knowledge useful beyond the studio.
Products
come first.
Staying specialized gives us room to follow a problem from its technical foundations to the experience people use.
- Products
- We build and maintain our own software for designers and developers.
- Knowledge
- We publish what the work teaches us, including the decisions behind it.
- Advisory
- We occasionally help teams improve systems they build themselves. Client development is not our model.
São Paulo
is in the name.
55onze takes its name from Brazil's country code and São Paulo's area code. It marks where we work from and the perspective we bring to technology built for a wider world.
